Information for Faculty & Staff

APR & Accreditation Assistance

Documentation and consultation regarding GTC Libraries' collections, instruction, and other services that support academic program students and faculty are provided upon request for APR and various accreditation purposes. Due to the time required to select, acquire, and process new materials and to identify and discard outdated resources, faculty are advised to take a continuous proactive approach to ensure collection development meets academic and accreditation standards. To help your program's accreditation process be successful, librarians should be informed about accreditation report and visit assistance as far in advance as possible.

For assistance with accreditation information, documentation, and collection development please contact Jan Daniel at (864) 250-8320.

For APR Library Conversations and rubric reviews please contact Tara Weekes at (864) 236-6500.

GTC Libraries can also help you with the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education's new program approval process. Please contact Jan Daniel at (864) 250-8320 for more information.

Instructor Observations

Course Quote Instructor
PHS 111

“Students seem to understand the topics much better this term illustrated by their better grades and more engaging discussions in discussion boards.  I am confident that this redesign with OER materials will benefit our students both academically and financially.”

Amy Daniels
ECD 252 "Grades for the main project for the course were higher in 2023 when the OER materials were in use. The redesign of the course eliminated the use of MindTap quizzes and video case studies to teach and instead focused on work relevant to class projects. Students were able to capture the learning outcomes through their authentic work which led to a better understanding of the end project.” Dr. Jacque Taylor
