The "REACH Act," South Carolina Act 26 of 2021, requires all undergraduate students to complete a three-credit course that requires, at a minimum, the reading of the U. S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Emancipation Proclamation, a minimum of five essays from the Federalist Papers, and one or more documents that are foundational to the African American Freedom struggle.
