MLA Style: Writing & Citation

Intro to MLA Style

MLA citation style is used in the humanities: English language and literature, philosophy, music, interdisciplinary studies, etc. to evaluate, document, and organize information used in projects and papers. This guide will provide citation examples for some of the most commonly used sources in writing. For a more exhaustive list, as well as more formatting and style instruction, please see either the MLA Style Manual (physical), the MLA Handbook Plus (eBook), or contact one of your GTC librarians for more in-depth help.
