Preparing to Use AI in the Workplace: Tips

  1. Develop digital literacy and computational thinking skills so that you are prepared to interact with and leverage AI tools in the workplace. 
  2. Learn how to access, evaluate, and communicate information using digital tools.
  3. Follow trends in the industry you are preparing to enter after graduation. Read articles, talk to people who work in the field, and follow technology trends on social media.
  4. Consider engaging in internships, apprenticeships, and other work-based learning opportunities so you can see how AI is influencing the field firsthand.
  5. Research ethical dilemmas regarding AI technologies in your field of study. What ethical challenges might you face when you enter the field? How will you navigate those challenges and remain a responsible user ? How will you comply with workplace practices and regulations?
