GTC Student Parent Resources

This Guide was created for students who are parents in our GTC community. It highlights college and library resources available to student parents.

GTC Support Services

Academic Coaching & Tutoring

  • The college provides academic tutoring in Math and writing.  These services are available in person and online.

GTC TRIO Program

  • A program that provides assistance to students from a variety of disadvantaged backgrounds.  It usually helps students from low-income families and first-generation college students.

GTC Caring Corner Food Pantry 

  • Resource for students and employees experiencing food insecurity.  Also, will help with applying for public assistance.

Financial Aid & Paying for College

  • Find out how you can apply for scholarships and loans.

Center for Career and Professional Development

  • Provides you with resources to help explore career paths and interests.  Connect with local jobs and employers.

Student Disability Services

  • Helps provide services to students with disabilities. 

Campus Life

  • Learn about clubs and organizations that are active on campus.

Veterans Assistance

  • Learn about a variety of services that are available to veterans.

STAR Program (Student Assistance and Resources)

  • Gives students enrolled in a career and technical education (CTE) field of study assistance with resources to aide with course and program completion.

Child Development Center

  • This center provides daycare services to GTC students, faculty, and staff for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Mental Health Services

Counseling Services

  • Provide guidance and support with real life issues that might be interfering with your education.

GTC Center for Collegiate Recovery

  • Gives advocacy and support to students in the recovery community.
