To comply with copyright:

• share permanent links to online GTC Library & PASCAL resources (GTC username and password likely required)
• use course reserve services to temporarily share physical resources with students in a particular course
• find many Creative Commons and open educational resources on GTC Libraries' OER research guide
• consider and document fair use and other factors using the GTC copyright compliance form
• get written permission from the original author or creator to use the work
• contact GTC's Copyright Compliance Officer with questions or concerns

Recommended books available from GTC Libraries:

Section 108 of Title 17 (U.S. Copyright Law) provides guidance for libraries and archives as they provide access to copyrighted materials. Under certain circumstances, Section 108 of the U.S. Copyright Law allows libraries and archives to reproduce copyrighted materials without the permission of the copyright holder. The American Library Association's Office of Information Technology Policy provides the Section 108 Tool to help inform visitors about libraries and compliance with Section 108 of U.S. Copyright Laws.
