Controversy / Argumentative: Reference Sources

This page is a one-stop resource for argumentative essay-related books, journal articles, and Internet resources.

WHY USE REFERENCE SOURCES?

Reference sources provide basic facts and, therefore, should be consulted at the start of any research. Dictionaries, thesauri, encyclopediae, handbooks, almanacs, and atlases are all types of reference materials.

CALL NUMBERS

Greenville Tech uses Library of Congress call numbers to organize books and AV resources. Based on subject matter, unique call numbers are given to each resource. When you find an item that you want in the catalog, jot down the call number so that you can find it on the shelf.
